Digital X-ray
Digital X-ray is a form of X-ray imaging where digital sensors are used instead of traditional photographic film. Advantages include time efficiency and the ability to digitally transfer, view, and enhance images. Also, less radiation can be used to produce an image of similar contrast to conventional radiography, decreasing exposure to patients and staff. They are also better for the environment because they do not require developing and the use of chemicals. The images can be viewed on a computer monitor within seconds of taking the image and can be enhanced and enlarged for better diagnostics.
